Term I Week 9 and other

This is it, Term I has ended and I am sadened to see some of you go. I hope that you all have a great Holiday Season with your families and get a lot of rest. The next 2 terms will fly by and will be looking at portfolios in no time. Well, here are some of your fellow student's photographs. Some great stuff from the long term. Well, our "Hyper Real" class was a success. Kind of, no one killed me the models showed up and were awesome, some of the photos worked but we had a lot of questions and many complaints. But it's a lesson and not everyone is going to like it. Anyway check out the action video. It's nice to see what the students actually do during class.

Our Visit with Photographer Gary Land and GLP Creative

Today, Gary Land opened his studio to our Advertising class. Thanks to Steve Sangalang who help schedule the visit we were able to make it and spent two very special hours discussing Gary's career and some of his projects. Abe, his partner, welcomed us and discussed some of the production side of the business. Gary was absolutely awesome and shared with us his experiences. Needles to say it was a good idea that I decided to write down the question students may have, as they were mostly speechless throughout. It was overall an awesome experience.

Guys this is going to be a good One!!! Tne photos are looking really good. Fashion, Soccer shoes, lansdcape made out of spices and magic...Check it out! Remember that I need you lighting diagram and layout for you to have the full grade you deserve. This week i need to hear a bit more about your portfolio and remember that I'll need to see you Corporate identity soon, Very soon! Not sure when? check your syllabus, that's why you have it.

We had a nice visit at Jay Penni's studio, However I could not believe that none of my Friday students were present at 9:15AM when we left for the studio. Pretty unbelieveable!!! Hello everyone,

Please pay attention this list is for week 6 assignment: Green Screen project. We have discarded the B&W movie option. So green Screen it is!
You will shoot a person on a "green screen" and drop them into another shot. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING EXITING! each shot MUST BE DIFFERENT!

This photographer was hired by Rogers Waters from Pink Floyd to illustrate the Opera Mr. Waters had written. Most of the background are shot in studio as miniature set. Check the info page of the site. I do not want any complaints as in the end I know you'll do great. A little pressure never hurts!

Term II Week I

For this week's assognment, everyone had to copy an photograph from a photographer. It had to be done as closely as possible. I believe the following shows how good the class is. Merdith shot of a shoe with honey dripping on it is excellent, as well as Jenna's "operfume bottle falling in water, Scott Golf club, Rebecca's shoe and ketchup, etc.. Overall all the students did a great!
