TERM II WEEK 3

2011-Week3

PLEASE READ.
I CHANGED THE GROUPS FOR THE WEEK SIX ASSIGNMENT, READ TO SEE IF IT AFFECTS YOU! We had a nice visit at Jay Penni's studio, However I could not believe that none of my Friday students were present at 9:15AM when we left for the studio. Pretty unbelieveable!!! Also in the future, if you are not there in time, DON'T SHOW UP AT THE STUDIO! YOU ARE LATE YOU MISSED THE BOAT!

New Solutions to Marketing.

I recently listened to an interview that Michael Costuros ( the founder of LiveBooks) held with Bryan Franklin ( Marketing person). I thought that it has some real gems in there, mainly an interesting way to think about sales and clients. The link below will get you to the MP3. It is free so you can just download it the audio.

If you like it, let me know. Remember, you may have to go through the whole interview, and it may feel a bit long but I do feel anyone will benefit from it. I listened to it three times and will do it again. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks
Bruno

Week 6- assignement List Below.

Photo: ©Kristin O'Brien

Hello everyone,

Please pay attention this list is for week 6 assignment: Green Screen project. We have discarded the B&W movie option. So green Screen it is!
You will shoot a person on a "green screen" and drop them into another shot. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING EXITING! each shot MUST BE DIFFERENT!

You will be working in pairs but we may have a few groups of three. Below is the list of people and their teammate. The link below will send you to see what students did last year. You will be graded on the final image and how you worked as a team.

This photographer was hired by Rogers Waters from Pink Floyd to illustrate the Opera Mr. Waters had written. Most of the background are shot in studio as miniature set. Check the info page of the site. I do not want any complaints as in the end I know you'll do great. A little pressure never hurts!

Wednesday class: ( 3 groups)
Catalina + Scott
Jenna + Max
Amy + Tommy
Fiona + Heather

Thursday: (4 groups)
Dominic + Rebecca
Meredith + Kate
Juan + Kelsey

Friday:( 2 Groups)

Any question contact me.

Term II Week I

For this week's assognment, everyone had to copy an photograph from a photographer. It had to be done as closely as possible. I believe the following shows how good the class is. Merdith shot of a shoe with honey dripping on it is excellent, as well as Jenna's "operfume bottle falling in water, Scott Golf club, Rebecca's shoe and ketchup, etc.. Overall all the students did a great!
